We started with an old brick fireplace that had been painted over in white. There was an old brass trim around the opening. The original chimney damper had rusted out and condition of the flue required a wood burning insert with stainless steel flue pipe. We removed the old brick hearth and expanded the size with marble tile. After that we covered the old brick facing with Shadow Grey LiteStone. Afterwards the new wood burning insert was installed.
